How to prepare for a boiler service
A little preparation helps make the appointment straightforward.
Find the paperwork
Gather the appliance model, previous service record and any warranty documentation. Note questions you want to ask and any changes you have noticed since the last service.
Arrange access
Explain where the boiler is and any access constraints when booking. Keep the route to the appliance clear. Do not remove panels or dismantle anything in preparation.
Confirm the scope
Tell the engineer whether this is a routine service, a fault investigation or a combined service and landlord check. Agree the scope and price rather than assuming one appointment covers everything.
